To organize the research on scientific tools and methods for implementing review, inspection and testing of drug, medical devices and cosmetics; to research and formulate the management and service policies on encouraging new technologies and new products; to formulate the laboratory construction standards and GLP, the qualification accreditation conditions and inspection specifications for testing institutions and supervise the implementation; to organize the implementation of major science and technology projects; to organize and carry out the international exchanges and cooperation, and exchanges and cooperation with Hong Kong, Macao and Taiwan; to coordinate the participation in international regulatory rule-making and standards formulation.
