On Sept 10, Huang Guo, deputy commissioner of China's National Medical Products Administration (NMPA), met with a delegation led by Michael Starbaek Christensen, Danish ambassador to China. The two sides exchanged views on bilateral cooperation in drug regulation, drug regulation reform, and support for the development of international corporations in China.

Huang introduced the progress made in China's drug regulation at the meeting. He said that since 2013, the drug regulatory authorities of China and Denmark have carried out close cooperation in drug regulation and strengthened exchanges in laws, regulations and technologies. The Chinese drug regulatory authorities will continue to support the development of international corporations in China, he added.

Christensen said the Danish side highly values cooperation in drug regulation between the two countries and is willing to further promote exchanges and share experience.

Both sides expressed their commitment to enhancing exchanges and cooperation to benefit public health.

Officials from related NMPA organizations and affiliated institutions were also present at the meeting.
