On Aug 27, Zhao Junning, deputy commissioner of China's National Medical Products Administration (NMPA), met with a delegation led by Nguyen Duc Hoa, deputy general director of Vietnam Social Security.

Zhao introduced the responsibilities of the NMPA and its work in regulation of drugs and medical devices to the delegation. The two sides discussed topics on the review and approval of innovative drugs and medical devices as well as the regulation of traditional Chinese medicines.

They agreed to further enhance exchanges and cooperation to ensure the quality and safety of medicines and better safeguard the health of the two peoples.

Officials from related NMPA departments were present at the meeting.
