The National Medical Products Administration (NMPA) Commissioner Jiao Hong signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) on cooperation with Antonio Barra Torres, head of the Brazilian health regulatory agency (Agência Nacional de Vigilância Sanitária of República Federativa do Brasil, ANVISA), on Nov 26.

The NMPA and the ANVISA, considering the role of international cooperation in response to public health challenges amid the COVID-19 pandemic, have agreed to further strengthen information exchanges in regulation of drugs, medical devices and cosmetics under the framework of the MoU to protect and promote the public health of the two countries.
